The 2018 Samsung Galaxy A8s

Today, Samsung announced the all new, China only, Galaxy A8s. It's the first phone to feature Samsung's Infinity-O screen. The screen has a hole punched at the top right corner of the display for the front camera. This eliminated the need for a notch at the top and allows for more screen space.

The device itself is not a flagship, but still a capable smartphone. It features a powerful Snapdragon 710 chipset paired with either 6 or 8GB of RAM while the storage is 128GB. It can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 512GB. The screen is 6.4" with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Samsung equipped the A8s with a 3,400 mAh battery with adaptive fast charging support, a USB-C port and Android 8.1 Oreo.

The back features a triple camera setup with a 24 mega-pixel main sensor with a large f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 10 mega-pixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. The third camera is a 5 mega-pixel with f/2.2 aperture and is used for depth sensing. On the back you will also find the phone's fingerprint sensor.
